We arrived at the hospital at 4am for induction. Needless to say, we were the only people in the waiting room. They got us right back, started the IVs and pitocin drip. Brad and I snoozed off and on for several hours. At 9am they broke my water and the contractions became intense! Within the hour, I was begging for my epidural. I think I squeezed Brad's hand so hard, his thumb turned blue - haha! I think it was from the pain of the contractions instead of the epidural itself.
After I got the epidural, I was perfectly happy and comfortable. At about 3pm, I had reached 10cm and they were ready for me to push. Ryan was born at 3:41pm and was perfect. Brad was able to cut the umbilical cord before they took him to be cleaned and weighed. Just like with Will, it was a great delivery and a beautiful, amazing experience.

7lbs. 13oz. and 21-1/4" long
We had fantastic nurses - Carrie and Marla. They helped make the delivery a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
I loved holding my little man for the very first time. It was a moment I will never forget. I love to be pregnant and experience the joy of birth - yes, I know that most women think I am crazy for saying that, but I do! Ryan was adorable and looked soo much like Brad.
As you can see, Brad and I are over the moon with the arrival of our second, beautiful and healthy son, Ryan. What a joy to see our family grow. We spent an hour with Ryan, just the three of us and then the family came in to meet him. Nona, Pawpaw, Aunt Kayla and Uncle Andy were at the hospital to meet him as soon as he was born. Will was with Nanny and came to meet his baby brother that evening.
What a blessing to be able to have two beautiful and healthy boys. My Cup Runneth Over!
